Matar Mushroom Recipe

Today, I want to share with you one of my all-time favorite recipes: matar mushroom. This hearty and flavorful dish combines the earthy richness of mushrooms with the delicate sweetness of green peas, creating a perfect harmony of flavors. Ingredients:

Here’s what you’ll need to make this delectable matar mushroom dish:

  • Mushrooms – 250g, cleaned and sliced
  • Green peas – 1 cup (fresh or frozen)
  • Onion – 1 large, finely chopped
  • Tomato – 2 medium, finely chopped
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
  • Green chili – 1, finely chopped
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala – 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil – 2-3 tablespoons
  • Fresh coriander leaves – for garnish
  • Salt – to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for a few minutes until the raw aroma disappears.
  3. Toss in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
