Mushroom With Tofu Recipe

I absolutely love cooking with mushrooms, and one of my all-time favorite recipes is a savory and satisfying mushroom with tofu dish. This vegetarian recipe is not only delicious but also packed with protein and nutrients. Let me share with you my go-to mushroom with tofu recipe that never fails to impress!

Ingredients:

  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 2 cups of sliced mushrooms (cremini or shiitake work great)
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Begin by preparing the tofu. Drain the tofu and gently press out the excess water using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. Cut the tofu into cubes and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and cornstarch. This will be the flavorful marinade for the tofu.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add the tofu cubes. Cook until they are golden brown on all sides. Once cooked, remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.
