Mushroom Masala Recipe

As a mushroom enthusiast and an avid cook, I am always on the lookout for new and exciting ways to incorporate mushrooms into my meals.   • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons of oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they sizzle, add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  2. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for a few more minutes until the raw aroma disappears.
  3. Pour in the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
  4. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook the spices for a minute or two.
  5. Toss in the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are tender and have absorbed the flavors of the spices.
  6. Pour in the coconut milk and let the mushroom masala simmer for a few more minutes.
  7. Adjust the seasoning and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  8. Serve the mushroom masala hot with steamed rice or naan bread.
